Press Kit Assignment:
My assignment was to pick a book that I had recently read and to create a press kit for the author. In it, we were to include an image of the book, a synopsis (not taken off the back of the book), the author's bio and picture, talking points, and an interview. I picked Adam Silvera's They Both Die at the End. Most of the content used is completely based off of the book. However, for the purpose of this assignment, the interview is make up entirely. This is the second press kit I ever created. The company Three Points Publicity was also created for this project. The image to the right is the top of the first page of this document, but I have included a file download for easy access. |

Big Publicity Assignment:
This project included several parts. Part 1: Create a book concept, create a TI sheet that includes comparative titles, a synopsis, and a bio for the author (also created), then do market research for the book created and write an email pitch. Part 2: Create a press kit. Part 3: Create a target list including industry professionals, bloggers, reviewers, radio, television, and places for the author to appear for events. |

Media Relations and Branding Publicity Assignment:
For this project, we were tasked with coming up with a book concept and an author. With this concept, we had to make a press kit (linked in the presentation) and come up with places that we could pitch the author for or places that we thought would be willing to sell the book. This presentation and the book cover (with a template) were created entirely on Canva. The author image of Cyril Henry is a random photo I found online. All of the events and media outlets mentioned in the presentation are real. The book title/concept, author name/bio, and publicity firm were all created for the purpose of this assignment. |

Audit Assignment:
For this, we had to pick an organization to research and develop an audit report for their public relations and media content. I selected the ALA (American Library Association) because it felt close to my main career focus, publishing, and I wanted to reflect that. Along with the audit report, we had to make a slides presentation and post a presentation on Youtube. |
